Update 2.3! Quality Of Life!
The whole goal of this update was to flesh out, fix up, and balance what I have already made before going ahead with adding more content. I didn't intend to spend so long working on this update but all things considered I feel quite a bit more satisfied with the overall quality of my game now.
Version 2.3 contains the following additions:
- new map transition system (map flipping glitch finally resolved!)
- new optional miniboss
- new sub-weapon
- new optional cutscene
- new hidden power up items
- new hidden area in town
- new hidden save coupon items
- new hints
- new optional lore collectibles in town
- saves inserted before boss battles
- new town NPCs
- changed a few town NPC's dialogue
- unique enemies respawning fix
- missable boss spawning fixed
- various other small tweaks and fixes of less significance
From here the plan is to begin designing and laying out the next area of the game which is likely to take some time considering I've hardly started yet. In the meantime I'll also be working on throwing together a short gameplay demo video for the page as well, perhaps something that's long overdue. Anyway, until next time, happy gaming!
